How do I learn the QML language and Qt Creator IDE?
Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework for developers using C++ or QML, a CSS & JavaScript-like language. Qt Creator is the supporting Qt IDE. Links below point to the resources we have found most valuable to learn the QML language and Qt Creator IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
QML Video Tutorial Series (Watch Parts 1 through 34)
Please note this tutorial series is not designed for embedded applications. Instead of starting a new project “from scratch,” as shown, we recommend you open one of the sample projects we provide. Sample projects can be downloaded by module type in Demos & Examples. Use that as a starting point to ensure Reach Technology components are included in the designer environment.
QML Reference Book
This reference book walks users through the different aspects of application development using Qt. It focuses on the new Qt Quick technology but also provides necessary information for writing C++ back-ends and extension for Qt Quick.
Qt License
You do not need to purchase a Qt license.
